
I’m a product designer with a background spanning 3D graphics, UI/UX design and software engineering, currently focused on interactive 3D products, workflows and tools.
I’m the son of an artist and engineer, and so literally grew up in a home surrounded by art and technology.
My love of both presented a challenge when finishing High school, do I follow the arts or technology? I went the Computer Science route and worked as a web engineer for many years but found myself always in photoshop designing UI before building it.
Eventually my creative side took over and I made the transition to designer, particularly focusing on mobile and native apps. My technical background allows me to stay close the technology making my designs practical and realistic.
My love of 3D graphics comes from this fusion of art and technology, and I have been developing and incorporating this into my skillset over the past several years.In addition to my design skills, I have leadership and business experience enabling me to collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders easily and effectively.
My approach is calm, fun, humble, collaborative and can work independently or as part of a team.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia but currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA with my wife and two kids.
Extensive 3D experience including modeling, sculpting, texturing, UVs, animation and game engines.
Inclusive and accessible designs including typography, colour contrast and interaction.
Extensive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as Manus, Claude, Chat GPT and Meta AI in design and 3D workflows.

Expert knowledge of Apple Platforms and design patterns, having designed apps since 2010 and even working at Apple in California.
David started off his career with a university degree in Computer Science and worked as an engineer for many years before switching to design. Deep knowledge of platforms and engineering friendly.
Experience designing for a 10ft experience whether it be a video game or TV app.
Designing for the desktop experience across Mac & PC.
Prototyping and implementing UI in game engine with Unity 3D.
Extensive experience designing for mobile across iOS and Android.
Animation, Micro-Interactions and Motion graphics design using Adobe After Effects.
20+ years of Product Design experience across web, mobile, tablet, watch, desktop, AR/VR and backed up with a Computer Science Degree.
Designing for iPad and what makes a great UX for these powerful devices.
Expert knowledge of native User Interface (UI) patterns across all platforms.
Expert User Experience (UX) Design experience, from hands on design across all UX disciplines including design, research, testing, leadership & mentorship.
With a passion for Video Games, David worked for Apple on a number of gaming services and has now turned to working on actual games themselves.
